Four Days in Finland

Four Days in Finland

After being repeatedly thwarted during our trip to Norway, I became even more determined to find a way to see the aurora borealis in person. Lapland, Finland’s northernmost region, is one of the best places for aurora activity at the later end of the season. It's also known for its ski resorts and a ski season that lasts well into May, which made it even more ideal for convincing Andy to give the northern lights another chance.

Three Days in Cortina d’Ampezzo

Four Days in Chamonix

We spent the last weekend of January in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, which is a resort area at the base of Mont Blanc (the highest peak in the Alps) in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France and just across the borders of Switzerland and Italy. Despite Chamonix being a pretty challenging ski area for a second-time skier like me, we had an absolutely fantastic trip.
