Lindsey in London
I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, graduated from The University of Alabama, and lived in NYC and Atlanta before moving to London in August 2021 with my husband (Andy), our silver Labrador (Lily), and our Russian Blue cat (Minerva). If you’re interested, I wrote a dedicated post about our decision to move to London for a two-year transfer with my job at a management consulting firm.
As much as I personally hate when ordinary people start random blogs, my mother made me promise that I would try to record our adventures as we travel across Europe so that I can remember everything later in life…and so that she can keep track of what we’re doing and share it with her friends. (Hello, friends of Bev!) I also thought it might be helpful to have a centralized place to store and easily share detailed itineraries and recommendations for some of the bigger trips we’ve taken in the past instead of sending the same jumbled, rambling iPhone notes when people ask me for trip-planning advice.
If you’re still reading this, THANK YOU for following along as I attempt to encapsulate and reflect on our experiences abroad. There are many highs and lows as an ex-pat, but we feel so incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to see as much of the world as we can before we’re forced to settle into the reality and responsibilities of adulthood.
